The PCCCI Chinese New Year Celebration 2026 was held on 21 February 2026 (Chor 5) at 10 am, at the Weil Hotel Grand Ballroom (Level 6). Guest of Honour was YB Datuk Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation. The celebration was marked by the Yee Sang tossing, speeches, video presentation - charity visits to orphanages & old folks’ home, Sichuan Opera face-changing and Chinese orchestra performance. Total of 60 tables were served.
In conjunction with the Chinese New Year, the organizing committee conducted a series of charity visits on the morning of 7 February 2026. The committee visited four charitable institutions: i. Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Berjasa Kinta, Perak ii. Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Kasih Sayang, Ipoh, Perak iii. Sekolah Semangat Maju iv. Rumah Sejahtera Jelapang A total contribution of RM 8,406.72 was donated across these four institutions, covering essential supplies / lunch arrangements, and the distribution of angpows. Special thanks to Mr. Lim Ee Young (Yee Lee Corporation Bhd.) for his generous sponsorship of daily essentials, which greatly contributed to the success of the charity visits. Heartwarming moments captured during the visits were compiled into a short video and screened during the Chinese New Year Celebration.
During the speech, YB Datuk Chang Lih Kang also announced an allocation of RM 100,000 to the PCCCI as an activity fund. Sincere thanks to the companies which sponsored for the Chinese New Year Celebration and Mr. Choong Chee Seng who worked as the “God of Wealth”.

That day, the banquet featured sixty tables, creating a lively and festive atmosphere filled with the spirit of the Chinese New Year. Business leaders, representatives of associations, and friends from various sectors gathered together, fostering camaraderie through interaction and exchanges, and collectively envisioning the development blueprint for the year ahead.
This Chinese New Year gathering was not only a festive celebration, but also an important platform for uniting the business community and promoting interaction between the business and government sectors. The PCCCI will continue to uphold its mission of uniting commerce and industry and serving its members, working hand in hand with all sectors to create an even brighter future.
